I was recently working on a 55-page document that was about 50 pages of text with the last five pages graphs and tables, each graph/table in its own picture box into which I had imported a PDF created in Excel. The graphs/tables were numbered in sequence.
We were approaching the deadline for this document (an application for an award) and the document exceeded the maximum number of pages, so we had to delete some of the graphs. There were ten picture boxes on each of the last five pages, arranged in two columns of five. As my boss indicated to me a graph (i.e. picture box) to delete, I had to manually move the remaining picture boxes to fill in the space created by the deleted picture box, while keeping the graphs in their numbered order.
Does anyone know of a way to link picture boxes so that when you one in the "chain" the remaining boxes automatically move up to fill in the empty space? The analogy to this is, of course, Quark's handling of text -- when you delete a word or paragraph from a text box, all the text below that paragraph flows upward to fill in the empty space. I'm not aware of any way to do this with picture boxes but I'm sure if there's a way to do it, someone on Quark Forums will know about it! Thank you very much for your assistance!
