10.0.1 image quality

I know that Quark invested time, effort and expense to the new graphics rendering in version 10. I appreciate that.

In the screen shots below, one is in version 9, the other in version 10. I am using the Windows version (on Windows 8.1, 64-bit). Even with the color quality issues as demonstrated below, I could live with this difference. I could even live with the difference in the display quality difference. The difference in moving about with high-res images is harder to accept—though 10 is improving with its updates and hopefully will at least achieve performance on par with version 9.

But at the moment I feel like the new rendering is a step backwards.I belive the display color is more accurate in v9. I believe the display quality is better in v9. The screen shots below are at a zoom level of 350% and version 9 is set to Full Resolution. But even with version 9 set to Low Resolution, at zoom levels 275% and below, the image quality is a non-issue.

In version 9, even with every image set to Full Resolution, the speed of editing and moving around is far greater than in version 10. I have faith version 10 will get better in these areas as updates are issued. I just hope it is sooner than later.

Mike
