Has anyone the same Problems?
If I create a new Grayscale-Image in Photoshop (just tried a gradient from white to black) and save it as a jpg. Throw this image into QuarkXpress 10.0.1 and create a PDF/X-1a:2001.
Now I open the created PDF with Adobe Acrobat Pro and check the color values. I'm getting values in any color separation (CMYK) and not the normal grayscale image only on the K.
With this issue alone QuarkXpress 10.0.1 is for me unusable because my work depends heavy on grayscale images.
Everything is getting more worse, if you write text on the dark part of that image with drop shadow or work with transparency …..
Also I have Problems with opening QuarkXpress 8 files in QuarkXpress 10. Most of the images are not placed properly.
I slowly regret, that I bought an upgrade from 8 to 10 without the option "buy 9 get 10 free". I really thought I wouldn't need it… :) :) :D
So I'm now stuck with version 8 and OS X 10.8.5
Is there any way to get a Validation Code for Version 9 if you own QuarkXpress 8 and 10 without having to buy it separately… :)
Sorry for my bad English… ;)
