I have used Quark 6 for years to publish my own cookbook (high altitude, sea level, gluten-free high altitude, and gluten-free sea level.) My laptop computer crashed (Windows XP) a couple of months ago. Son-in-law could not retrieve any info. Fortunately I had back ups from 2011. I could not reload quark 6 on it because he updated to Windows 7. I used test copy of Q9 to make changes. Frankly it was a horror. What should have taken me 3 hours ended up taking 3 days. When it was ready to print (HP 2300dtn) The printer would not get margins correct. I need to take the Q9 file and put it into Q8. Once in 8 I will be able to go to Q7 and then back to my beloved Q6. I have full versions of Q6 and Q7 with licensing codes, I have tried downloading Q8, but have error code coming up that I am missing file 1156????????????????????????????
I know this is weird, but when I worked with Q9 I felt like I had 8 elbows. LOL I am 60 and do not want to learn Q9 as I no longer am in the graphics field.
Anyone??????????????????????
