I'm not sure whether it's discussed earlier or not, hence I 'm posting this.
I's earlier quirky and used upto it's version 5 until it's competititor has come. I love to use quarkXpress everytime. But get bored to use it because of few but most features that QuarkXpress misses. It's not for a new version but for every version of QuarkXpress. Earlier I thought they improved it for it's new version, but didn't see. It seems their mind don't change as per current need. I hate this. Remember what Bill Gates say.. He always Keep A LAZY PERSON,, why.. where every other people hate lazy person.. The SECRET IS..
A Lazy Person Always Find a Short-Cut and Finished The Job Before Time..
Thus it's increased productivity..
Here is the missing part of QuarkXpress Features (QuarkXpress must Change His Mind to Compete with it's competitor).
1. First of All need to improvide the design interface,,what we called is GUI..
2. Lot of shortcut icon but the required one and change customize the theme so user can select his own set of theme.
3. Icon size: should be small to increase the design space
4. Toolbar : Again very large even using a 23 inch LED.. Look very bad interface.. No one is taking care..
As a desktop designer if Quark Improve the above or add any xtension, definately Quark will be the next generation desktop publishing software. Old Quarky will come once again to use Quark.
