Updating from QuarkXPress 9.3.1 to 9.3.1.1 on MacOS 10.6.8.
Installation nearly completes and then dialog box shows the following message:
"The installation failed. The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."
Before following the obvious path - calling Quark - I thought I'd see if anyone has any tips. Here's what I've already tried:
1 - Re-download installer files just to be sure there was no corruption
2 - Restart computer
3 - Copied installer files to desktop before install
4 - Created a preferences folder within the QuarkXPress Application folder
Any thoughts?
UPDATE: Also tried creating a new user and installing there to see if there is some problem with the account rather than the installer. This tactic didn't work either.
