This one is for the wayback machine!
For reasons I won't go into, I have to run QuarkXPress 4 (among other versions of Quark) on a brand new computer running Windows 7.
When I try to set up QXP4 to make a PDF, using Adobe Acrobat 4, I run into a problem.
In the past, to do this I have added a Printer, selected Local Printer, added a PostScript Driver, then selected FILE instead of LPT1 or anything else, and finished the setup.
Then, in Quark 4, I can click on Utilities --> Export as PDF, and the PDF is made.
In Windows 7, after doing the same, when I do the export, I get the message, "To save a document as a PDF file, a PostScript printer must be set up to print to a file."
Has anyone else run into this?
