Paragraphs have a first-line indent set for .25 inches. While all paragraphs behave correctly (that is, indent/tab where set/instructed), when invisibles are revealed the tab character (right arrow) appears in the wrong place. For example, it will show up at the start of the last line of the paragraph, or even in the middle of a line in the middle of a paragraph--both places where no tab has been inserted. An indented paragraph with only one line will not reveal any tab character.
I have not been able to remove the rogue character; when revealing/setting tabs (command-T on Mac) I see only the one set .25-inch tab marker on the ruler.
What's causing this anomaly? Or is this now how it works and I didn't notice until now? Using v8.5.1.
