Running Quark 10.1 and Quark 9.5.1 on Mac OS 10.8.5, Macbook Pro RD with Dell external monitor.
I tried to use Quark 10.1 to do newspaper layouts this week, hoping the update made it useable. Froze up on me doing first set of four pages, had to go back to Quark 9. Tried doing two more pages later in the day and it was slow and jerky, so went back to 9. Finally got it to work doing two page layout….finished it up, hit save (command/S) and it locked up. Had to force quit, no rescue file so lost several minutes of work. Tried to open the document back up and it crashed immediately upon opening. Thankfully I was able to open once again just long enough to export as a Quark 9 document to finish up. Are other users having better results running Quark 10.1 on Mavericks?
I'm hesitant to upgrade to Mavericks for fear of losing the ability to use even Quark 9 if 10 doesn't work any better. Thanks for any help/advice.
