I've been installed 7.31 on a mixture of Windows 7 64 and 32bit machines. The 64 bit machines work fine, however the 32 bit machines all have an odd problem.
When you first run Quark, the .prf preferences files are created in the root of the C:\ drive, and a Quark folder appears in the root as well. This is despite the installer picking the correct path as C:\Program Files\Quark\etc. These files should be written in the users own AppData\Local\Quark folder but nothing appears there.
The 64 bit machines all work, and they installed correctly in the Program Files (x86) folder, its just the 32bit ones that fail. And as the preferences are being written to the root of the hard drive, it means that only administrators of that machine can run the program!
Is this just a bug with 7.31 and 32bit Windows 7? It works on 32bit Xp and 64bit Windows 7!
