I just loaded Quark 8 on my new Mac Pro. It launches but a message board always comes up saying it's missing the Cinima HD profile. If I try and replace it with the generic or legacy I have the same problem.
PROBLEM: It will not open any file. The program stalls and I have to force quit.
Below is what one message board said to do to fix the problem - it doesn't work for me?
HELP!
Please follow these steps:
1. Navigate to MAC HD > Library > ColorSync > Profiles > Displays.
2. Rename the Cinema Display Profile to “Cinema Display-42483D0.icc”
3. Open the System Preferences and apply the Cinema Display profile.
4. Quit QuarkXPress, if running.
5. Navigate to MAC HD/Applications/QuarkXPress 8. Delete the Preferences folder, if any.
6. Navigate to MAC HD/Users/<Logged In User>/Preferences/Quark/. Delete the folder named QuarkXPress 8.
7. Launch QuarkXPress.
This should take care of the alert.
