Hi all,
as you all know, yesterday Apple has announced the next version of OS X, OS X Mavericks, to ship in fall.
We're not anticipating a large effort to support QuarkXPress 10 running on OS X Mavericks and expect support within 90 days of the new OS's availability.
As we've done a lot of work modernising QuarkXPress 10 inside and out, this will enable us to more immediately take advantage of new Mac OS X features.
It's a little early to talk specifics but as an example it's likely we'll get to leverage the multi-display support through our new full screen functionality and our ePub export will be certified for iBooks on OS X.
Whether QuarkXPress 9 will support OS X Mavericks is currently unknown, the good news are that if you upgrade today to QuarkXPress 9 you will get QuarkXPress 10 for free.
Please see also here: http://forums.quark.com/p/21811/88027.aspx#88027
And of course QuarkXPress 10 will also run on Lion and Mountain Lion.
Regards
Matthias
EDIT: Please note that the offer I was referring to ("Buy 9 Get 10 for free") and which was valid at the time of posting, has now ended.
