I am trying to put together a service book for my church using QuarkXPress...
Under QuarkXPress 8:
From PrintMusic 2009, I create a single-page of sheet music and using the Mac OS X internal "Save As PDF" functionality, I create a single-page PDF file.
When I bring ("import...") this file into QuarkXPress 8, everything appears to be fine, BUT when I try to export ("File... Export... Layout as PDF...") the project to a full PDF for printing, I get part of the way through the process and get an error: "Unable to create '.../Project_Layout 1.pdf' File"
I get this error on BOTH platforms (Vista SP1 and on Mac OS X 10.5.5).
It appears QuarkXPress 8 on either platform has a problem consuming and re-exporting PDF files that are created by Mac OS X's "Save to PDF" function...
The files import and export perfectly in Adobe InDesign CS3, but I would rather work in QuarkXPress 8, as it is significantly faster.
Any ideas? Is this a known problem? I can provide the sample .PDF I am importing if needed...
Thanks,
