Separate numbered lists use continuous numbering

I have a problem with my numbered lists in Quark 9.1: when I create separate numbered lists, with body text in between, the numbering of each list does not start afresh. Instead, it continues as if there were just one long list. For example, if List A has the numbering 1) 2) 3) then List B has the numbering 4) 5) 6) and List C 7) 8) 9). Any tips? Many thanks.
