I have v7.5 and am interested in upgrading, primarily because I want to be confident of QXP working when I upgrade to Mavericks. The ePub stuff is interesting but all I really want is the basic design stuff. With this in mind I've been looking at the upgrades and there are two available at different prices. One goes to 9 with a free v10 upgrade the other is just offered as an upgrade to v10. I assumed there was some restriction but communications with Quark have resulted in some strange and contradictory stories which somehow never get completed and I feel as if I'm being messed about and starting to distrust the person I'm dealing with even though the contact was made via the official website.
At the moment I am waiting for an invoice that I think isn't going to arrive, but I don't know why this is necessary and what I'm supposed to do with it when all I want to do is pay on the official page and download the thing, I would obviously prefer to pay the lower price particularly as I really have no expected use for the ePub stuff and my needs of the programme make the £299 upgrade hard to justify just to be able to keep using it.
So to get to the point, can someone who actually knows tell me if the straight £239.20 upgrade to v10 can be used with v7.5? If it can great, I'm in, if it can't then maybe Quark should make this clear on the page and I'll think about it for the few days I have left.
