Scroll zone within a scroll zone

I have a large scroll zone (the entire main page) linked to a longer page that contains a text scroll zone. When you try to scroll the text the entire page scrolls with it. The same thing happens with pop ups containing scrolling text withing a scrolling page. Any ideas?
